The 2021 ABC Copyright Conference Committee is seeking proposals for this year’s conference which will be held virtually on May 5th, 6th and 7th. We recognize the past year has been one of unprecedented change and has presented unique challenges and opportunities for how we approach copyright issues. The program planning committee is seeking proposals on a broad range of topics that can speak to the current and future state of copyright in Canada. A list of potential session topics is offered below, but all relevant proposals will be considered.
- Impact of COVID on copyright practices or policies
- Copyright and e-learning
- Controlled Digital Lending
- Multimedia in the virtual classroom
- Open Educational Resources
- Indigenous Traditional Knowledge
- Copyright legal developments
- Copyright & creative industries
Deadline of Call:
March 15, 2021
Notification of Acceptance
Rolling acceptance until March 15, 2021.
How to Submit:
Proposals should be no more than 300 words. Proposals should include:
- Presenter name(s) & contact information
- Proposal title
- Proposal description (300 word maximum)
- Type of session
- Workshop (30-45 mins)
- Presentation (30-45 mins)
- Panel (45 mins)
- Academic Paper (30-45 mins)
- Research focused/general lightning talk (10 minutes)
